Quality SpecialistJob Responsibilities
To effectively control quality inspection plans and lots, raw material certification, calibration data, and product certifications within BNA- Oshkosh North quality systems. Additional support will be given in data gathering and analysis, quality system development, internal auditing, lab testing, and complaints
II.
Duties
1. Develop new inspection plans, revise current inspection plans, and ensure data specialists are provided accurate information for data entry. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
2. Create new product certification profiles and maintain all product certification profiles within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution. Create product certifications (COA, COC) for shipments within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
3. Review raw material certifications to ensure data is within specification. Maintain approval status within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
4. Calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of testing equipment. Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and repair. Perform calibration data entry into SAP.
5. Review production lot quality data and perform closure transactions within SAP. Investigate issues and follow-through to resolution.
6. Back-up support for internal, customer, and supplier complaint system.
7. Back-up support for quality lab testing.
8. Develop and participate in quality department projects (i.e. data gathering and analysis).
9. Internal audit team member.
10. Support BNA - Oshkosh North's Quality Management System.
Education & Experience Required
1. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
2. Quality and industry-related seminars.
3. 2-5 years previous experience working in Quality department in manufacturing desired.
4. Proficient computer and data entry skills required. Microsoft Excel experience required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products a plus.
5. Experience in manufacturing blown film, printing, converting, slitting, and/or lamination for the flexible packaging industry a plus.
6. Experience in quality lab testing within the flexible packaging industry a plus
7. Experience with calibration and troubleshooting lab equipment a plus.
Skills & Abilities Needed
1. Attention to detail required.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all personnel.
3. Motivated and self-managing.
4. Strong administrative and organizational skills.
