Project Supervisor

This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the hourly work force and site supervisors. This position is very instrumental in developing and maintaining the hourly work force, project development, planning, and execution.
Must possess more than 10 years of relevant experience in the Pulp & Paper industry.
Must be able and willing to lead large groups of people and foster a positive team environment
Good communication skills
Strong ability to multi-task
Must possess the ability to work well under high stress environments
Must be willing to travel > 75%
Must possess the ability and willingness to coach and mentor Supervisors and craftsmen
Must be capable of building solid customer relationships
Paper Machine equipment installation
Paper Machine roll changes
Bearing installation
Laser alignment
Pump, motor and base installation
Precision millwright technical training preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for project execution.
Overall responsibility for project team following Safety requirements.
Build construction project schedules and track progress through the life of the project. (Engineering, Equipment/Material, Planning and Construction)
Coordinate Work (Engineering, Crafts and Sub-Contractors)
Prioritize Work
Manage the Change Order process
Keep V.P. of Mechanical services updated on schedule conflicts and material procurement issues.
Quality assurance and overall responsibility for bid proposals
Direct supervisors on priorities of work
Assist V.P. Mech. Services with scope development
Develop Construction completion punch list.
Manage sub-contractor performance
Field contact for Project needs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
