Associate Production PlannerJob Responsibilities
1. Awareness of and Adherence to all, Corporate & Site; Environmental, Health, & Safety, policies & procedures. Responsible for working safely and maintaining a safe work environment; attending required training; identifying and reporting hazards; wearing all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements; and is accountable for self as well as co-workers safety.
2. Demonstrate and foster Bemis Core Values.
3. Work closely with the Production and Material Planners in the development and communication of manufacturing work schedules which strives to meet service, quality and productivity goals.
4. Reviews, routes orders in Command Center, and builds job jacket information required to manufacture the order. Communicates with other Bemis facilities as needed.
5. Prepares and maintains re-run log to track and support operations.
6. Prints specifications, labels, forms or other documents needed to support production.
7. Conducts post production review of order information.
8. Trains in other areas of production and assists the Production Planners as necessary to complete assigned tasks during periods of peak activity, and to cover absences.
9. Completes projects and other duties assigned. Specific responsibilities unique to each individual and position will be defined.
Education & Experience Required
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.
2. A year or 2 of experience in office procedures.
Skills & Abilities Needed
1. Must have considerable communications skills, both oral and written, to successfully interact with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Material Planning, Graphics, Production Planners, and BSF Office staff.
2. Strong administrative and organizational skills to handle a large volume of paper flow and determine appropriate priorities.
3. Strong computer knowledge; specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to create reports using computer software programs.
4. Strong math and data entry skills. Must be comfortable working with formulas and calculations.
5. Strong attention to detail required.
6. Prior experience with office procedures is desired.
