Volunteer Development Specialist - Oshkosh We are seeking an individual who will place and support volunteers aged 55
in various non-profit agencies that impact the unmet needs in the community.
This position will provide a high-quality experience that enriches the lives of the volunteers.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop relationships with volunteers and stations and document contacts to ensure a high-quality experience Provide volunteer recognition for volunteers including but not limited to:
send birthday and anniversary cards and thank you cards.
Plan recognition events Coordinate and manage volunteer placements Complete and maintain volunteers and station paperwork to ensure funding source compliance Collect and document volunteer hours Process volunteer stipends and/or mileage reimbursement requests Complete reports for ADVOCAP and other funding sources as needed Attend appropriate training sessions to increase knowledge of volunteer management Attend and/or plan in-service and advisory meetings Job Requirements:
A high school degree or GED or 12--18 months of previous work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required to meet job standards Ability to input and retrieve data from databases for reporting MS Office experience preferred Marketing, public speaking and recruiting experience preferred Understanding of community needs, and volunteer target groups Knowledge of senior community and issues relating to seniors Have reliable transportation Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background Salary and
Benefits:
This part-time position will work 20 hours per week.
Starting pay is $20.
94 per hour.
