The Tester is expected to perform system tests conform to production and quality standards, analyze malfunction and perform repairs, adjustments or alterations as required, or refer for additional test/repair, ensure records are kept, confer with engineering, design and quality assurance Duties and
Responsibilities:
Uses test procedures, test programs and written instructions to test product and / or sub-assemblies Performs troubleshooting of product and equipment to meet production schedules and performance standards.
Demonstrated ability to interpret schematics and drawings in order to properly test product.
Ensures proper preventative maintenance in place for test equipment; provides suggestions on changes to PM schedules.
Ability to flex across different products / areas to support business needs.
Contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost.
Uses initiative and judgment to solve problems Basic
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Associates Degree, or Certification with 2-6 years' experience, or its equivalent.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Intermediate knowledge of mechanical testing with ability to diagnose potential failure mechanisms.
Ability to train Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.
The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Temperatures can vary from cool to warm depending upon the season.
The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
