org/employment/ The Custodian/Maintenance Assistant provides custodial services throughout the CESA 6 facilities on a regular schedule consisting of a conference center, two alternative education sites, and two community-based education sites.
This position is essential in order for CESA 6 to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment to those it serves and its employees.
Specific responsibilities include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, auto scrubbing, and waxing floors; scrubbing walls and fixtures; emptying waste receptacles; replenishing supplies; shoveling snow; and performing other related cleaning duties.
Regular deep cleaning and other miscellaneous projects will also be completed over the calendar year.
This position works primarily second shift hours Monday through Friday, 2:
30 PM to 11:
00 PM.
During the months of June, July, and August the hours will be first shift from 6:
00 AM to 4:
30 PM.
The Custodian/Maintenance Assistant directly reports to the agency's operations manager.
