Essential Functions:
Repair or replace equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps Plan layout and installation of equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry function Skills and Abilities:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) required Three plus years of experience in maintenance field Journeyman or equivalent knowledge necessary.
