Our client is growing and needs to advance its Materials Staff with a Senior Supply Chain Manager. You will report to the Operations VP and provide leadership to Planning and Purchasing Team. This role is responsible for driving business solutions and practices utilizing corporate model to develop a demand driven Supply Chain approach. You will organize and implement strategic initiatives and standardized approaches in Demand Management and Tactical Purchasing. Success in this role is defined by driving significant step function changes in demand fulfillment capabilities.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 10
years of experience with 5 years in a supervisory role
Strong lean manufacturing experience
Must have demonstrated experience with helping their company move from a traditional manufacturing (make, shelf and ship) environment to a Demand Flow Technology / Pull Demand system
A custom manufacturing background is preferred but experience operating with mix-model lines (High Mix, Low Volume with some High Volume, Low Mix)
Good experience with JIT, pricing, strategic planning,
Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies
Experience in collaborating with multiple sites and functions to drive common solutions (there are 4 other plants)
Experience using ERP/MRP system, they are migrating to SAP
Must come from plant or have divisional responsibilities for $150
Million of revenue


Duties:
The company has 5 plants and a corporate team negotiates master service plans with vendors. At the plant level you will coordinate Demand Flow of needed materials with vendors
Ensure Supply Chain synchronized with Production Execution capabilities to maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation
Manage your team of 3 direct and 40 to 50 indirect supply chain members
Work closely with Value Stream Leaders (Production Leaders) and their teams to achieve SMART goals and KPI's (key performance indicators)
Lead and improve Order Management best practices, processes and policies that drive perfect order logic including order types/policies, standardized lead times/tier pricing strategies, available-to-promise (ATP), customer resource management (CRM) and electronic data interchange (EDI)
Lead and improve Demand Planning/Management using a One Number Plan approach and methodology to align financial, operation and material plans.
Lead and improve Tactical Purchasing in conjunction with corporate Strategic Global Sourcing team to reduce lead times and improve material margins through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model.
Lead and improve Material/Inventory Management best practices including Plan for Every Part (PFEP)., ABC Analysis, Purchasing Methods (PO, Blanket, etc), and Advance Replenishment Methods (MRP, Stocking Programs, VMI, Consignment, Re-Order Point and Direct Pull)
Leads initiative to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operations to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies.
