Bemis Specialty Films Oshkosh Southis looking for candidates that are interested in the printing industry. While working in the press department you will start out learning the basics of how printing works and then progress up to an assistant operator and then an operator. Come join the Bemis team!
Key Responsibilities of the position:
Act as a Safety Leader in all responsibilities.
Make sure that all plates returned to the making/mounting area are clean, this includes cleaning the plate cylinders
Maintain the gear-up room in clean condition and place gears in proper location
Familiarize and understand the complete operation of the PRI system from distillation to washing parts
Assist the press crew by cleaning decks, changing cylinders, and other tasks as needed to bring press back into production
Accurately complete all required paperwork
Work on the presses as workloads and schedules dictate
Check with supervisor to find out where help is needed
Education & Experience Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is desired
Skills & Abilities Needed
Read, understand and stay current with all department work instructions and procedures required of the make ready position
Begin learning all of the department work instructions and procedures required of a press assistant
Must pass company administered color-blind test
Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good computer skills, or ability to learn good computer skills
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Occasional pushing up to 230 lbs
Occasional pulling up to 1200 lbs
Occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing stairs
Frequent standing and walking
Twisting and pressure involving hands and wrists
Exposure to noise over 85 decibels
Ammodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Ability to work with and get along with others in an effective and productive manner
Schedule:
12 Hour Rotating Shift / 5:30-5:30
